Nobody liked Iat

Iat was an outcaste in her community. She never married, but had affairs. The first was with a Buddhist trucker and then with another Buddhist man, driving her further and further from the Muslim society. She had two children and no husband, a severe defiance of the Muslim faith. Nobody liked Iat.

She first heard of Isa from a church in the north, and she began to believe. But she still shifted between Islam, Buddhism and Christian beliefs, unsteady and unsure. Occasionally she attended a church in the city, but she did not really understand. Then she was introduced to Isa in her own language, and she began to study and pray with us.

Now, at 40 years old, Iat is ready to be baptized! God has been pursuing her for many years, and is showing Iat a pure, holy love that she has never known before.

Pray for Iat and her journey in knowing and following God.

  1. The story of Iat is so beautiful and I praise God for it, showing us over and over again that He is a God of mercy and compassion and that he is the ultimate source of true love, a love that covers a multitude of sins and sweeps us off our feet.
